Inserting the current date

Insert the current date as text

Now you can create a hotkey to insert the current date as if you typed it, in a selected format.

Create a hotkey for the Insert Current Date function. The parameter Format is used to specify how the date is formatted (please see the function reference for full details).

For example, a hotkey with the Insert Current Date function and a format specifier of mmm-dd-yyyy results in the text Oct-01-2000 to be inserted as if you typed it.
