triangle Importing your settings

You can export your WinMapper profile using the Export settings feature.

The settings are exported to a standard .ini file, which contains pure text. This small file can then be opened by another WinMapper, and the settings (and hotkeys) can be imported.

Screenshots - Import

When you choose the File | Settings | Import Settings menu option, you are first prompted for the filename and location of the configuration file to load.

Choose the desired import file and location, then click on OK to continue. You are now shown a complete list of all the settings and hotkeys found in the import file:

Hotkeys are shown in Blue text, while Settings are shown in Green text. If a Hotkey is conflicting with an existing WinMapper hotkey, it is shown in Red text.

Click on the [Remove] button to remove the highlighted items from the export. You can highlight items by clicking on the item in the list ; hold down CTRL and click to select multiple items, or hold down SHIFT and click to select a range of items.

Click on the [OK] button to import the shown Hotkeys and Settings into the current (or default) profile, or click on the [Cancel] button to abort the import.
