Features

WinMapper is the essential tool for customizing your keyboard. You can create your own hotkeys for a specific action such as opening an application or document, record and repeat text macros, insert signatures and other predefined text, use timed keystrokes in games, play music, or many of the other built-in functions.

WinMapper also features a built-in keyboard remapper, Alias management, and several optional settings that allow you to enhance your Microsoft Windows experience.

Here's a short list of the most appreciated functionality by our users. These are the functions we get the most feedback on, and the best recommendations and tips.

What is WinMapper ?

WinMapper allows you to create your own hotkeys (keyboard shortcuts) to perform an action, or function - for example to play MP3 files while playing games, open documents and programs, insert signatures, program mouse and keyboard responses, record and play macros, remove traces of Internet activity, bookmark and manage windows, or simply activate the screensaver.

More than 100 functions are available for your hotkeys, and there are over 20 settings that allow you to enhance the functionality of Windows and WinMapper.

WinMapper is an essential tool for Office users, but is also useful to home and game users. The extensive function library, unique features and built-in macro functionality makes WinMapper highly flexible.

The ability to fully control the Microsoft Windows Key and associated hotkeys is unique to WinMapper, and enables you to either disable or overwrite the default Windows actions. WinMapper also enables you to create, edit or remove application aliases, and provides improved control of Mouse Keys.

With WinMapper v1.06 we are introducing a new feature: Keyboard remapping. This feature allows you to reconfigure your keyboard, key by key. You can also remap a single key to be a combination of the Ctrl, Alt or Shift key and a normal key. Keyboard remapping is only available when running in Advanced Mode.
